Protest on Trail of a Pakistani by US Jury

ONE STATEMENT on Dr. Aafia's Trial

What started in January has come to an end with a sad note- today, Dr. Aafia was declared guilty as charged on 7 counts by the Jury in USA- and instead of her the entire justice system of America was put on trial instead- and it failed miserably!

Our national test has begun! Our position as a nation is yet to be seen in days to come and we eagerly await our diplomats and our Government as to how it stands up to defend its people and represent the will and wish of its majority. To ensure justice for Dr. Aafia.

Dr Aafia was abducted from Karachi in 2003 along with her three children. Her detention being denied by all authorities for 5 years until 2008 when it was confirmed by a visiting British journalist that the lady kept in Bagram base as prisoner no. 650 by the Coalition forces in extreme and humiliating conditions, is in fact none other than Dr. Aafia herself.

She was subsequently transferred to the USA instead of being produced at a Pakistani court a country when she was first arrested.

One Party Pakistan, protests the Jury’s biased decision and stands with her family in this moment of trial and grief.
